Lake County SBDC - Your Local Partner for Success:

With an office conveniently located in Lakeport (map) to serve the cities and rural areas in Lake County.

Please Note:  Counselors do not have regular office hours.  Call (707) 263-0330 or (530) 822-0140 to schedule an appointment.

We offer free, confidential, one-on-one counseling, as well as low cost seminars and workshops and referrals to specialized business information and resources.

Whether you're already operating or considering starting a part-time business or a large manufacturing service or retail business, we can help!

Have an Existing Business?  Owners of existing businesses can contact the SBDC for assistance and move immediately to FREE one-on-one counseling or training programs, including low cost training classes in key business skills.

Starting a New Business?  Sign up for a Pre-Business workshop.  The workshop provides basic information on state, local and federal requirements for starting and operating a business.  There is a small fee.

After the initial workshop, you'll be eligible for FREE one-on-one business counseling.  Your counselor will work with you on specific issues associated with starting your particular business and help you develop your business plan.

What else do we offer?  Specific help is also available for loan package preparation, marketing, manufacturing, accounting, taxes, website development, Internet marketing, selling on the Internet, and numerous other specific topics.  Explore further.

Here is how to do it ...  Call us at (707) 263-0330 or (530) 822-0140 or send us an email.  We will ask you a few questions to determine the nature of your need.

We will then schedule you for an appointment at a pre-business workshop, or for one-on-one counseling.  We offer appointments at our locations in Yuba City, Woodland, and at Lakeport in Lake County .  We will work with you to make the appointment at a time and location convenient for you.

An SBDC counselor works with you to determine your individual business needs, and develop a scope of work based on your desired outcomes.  The counselor will direct you to research sources and review your business plan.

You can work at your own pace utilizing the resources you prefer.
