Woodland SBDC - Your Local Partner for Success:Conveniently located in downtown Woodland (map), this office serves Woodland, Davis, and the cities and rural areas in Yolo County. We offer free, confidential, one-on-one business counseling, as well as low cost seminars and workshops and referrals to specialized business information and resources. Whether you're already operating or considering starting a part-time business or a large manufacturing service or retail business, we can help! Have an Existing Business? Owners of existing businesses can contact the SBDC for assistance and move immediately to FREE one-on-one counseling or training programs, including low cost training classes in key business skills. Starting a New Business? Sign up for a Pre-Business workshop. The workshop provides basic information on state, local and federal requirements for starting and operating a business. There is a small fee. After the initial workshop, you'll be eligible for FREE one-on-one business counseling. Your counselor will work with you on specific issues associated with starting your particular business and help you develop your business plan. What else do we offer? Specific help is also available for loan package preparation, marketing, manufacturing, accounting, taxes, website development, Internet marketing, selling on the Internet, and numerous other specific topics. We will then schedule you for an appointment at a pre-business workshop, or for one-on-one counseling. We offer appointments at our locations in Yuba City, Woodland, and at Lakeport in Lake County . We will work with you to make the appointment at a time and location convenient for you. An SBDC counselor works with you to determine your individual business needs, and develop a scope of work based on your desired outcomes.
