Have an
Existing Business? Owners of existing businesses can
contact the SBDC for assistance and move immediately to FREE
one-on-one counseling or training programs, including low cost
training classes in key business skills.
Starting a
New Business? Sign up for our Pre-Business
workshop. The workshop provides basic information on state,
local and federal requirements for starting and operating a
business. There is a nominal fee for this workshop.
After the initial workshop, you'll be eligible for FREE
one-on-one business counseling. Your business counselor will work with you on
specific issues associated with starting your particular business
and help you develop your business plan.
Specific help is also available for loan package preparation,
marketing, manufacturing, accounting, taxes, Internet marketing,
selling on the Internet, and other specific topics.

use our on-line scheduling. We will ask you a few questions to determine the
nature of your need. We will set up an appointment for you
either at a pre-business workshop, or for one-on-one business counseling.
We offer appointments at our locations in Yuba City, Woodland or
Lake County. We will do our best to make the appointment at a
time and location convenient for you.
An SBDC consultant works with you to
determine your individual business needs, and develop a scope of
work based on your desired outcomes. The counselor will direct
you to research sources and review your business plan.
You can work at your own pace utilizing the resources you prefer.

Business Surveys
If you own or manage a farm or small business
in Yolo County your participation is requested in completing the two
surveys below. These surveys will assist Yolo County Economic
Development in setting policy and in creating programs to increase
economic vitality for Yolo County. We hope to determine services,
financial needs and other tools to assist you in your operation.
All information is confidential and will only
be reported and shared on an aggregate basis. These surveys will be maintained in a secure manner and used only as part
of a full, condensed report.
